DESCRIPTION
This isn’t your average history lesson. We’ll take you on a journey through Mexican Herstory. From pre-Hispanic roots to today’s feminist and LGBTQIA+ movements. Think activism, resistance, sex, love, parties, heartbreak, survival… and all the spicy, powerful stories that don’t usually make it into the textbooks.
You’ll hear about the badass women and queer folks who helped shape this city, often in spite of the system. We'll wrap up at Plaza Santo Domingo, diving into the indigenous origins that still pulse beneath the surface of Mexico City’s identity.
This experience is made for curious minds, open hearts, and anyone who wants to feel safe, seen & inspired in one of the most beautiful cities.

I started leading tours in Mexico City five years ago, but the typical tours never really resonated with me. They felt too impersonal, too generic. So I decided to do things differently. For the past 3 years, I’ve been proudly hosting experiences for the queer community. I founded MxCity for the Girls, Gays & They's with a clear purpose: to offer safer, more inclusive spaces for women a...

5 Please keep talking like a river because you are the best!
Tania, don't ever apologise for talking too much because there is never too much when we go on this walking tour with you! You gave us so much interesting information that museums don't even show about the queer and feminist history of the city. Keep up the good work!

Women in Muralism - Feminism & Art in Mexico
The history of Mexican Muralism is legendary, but it’s narrated incomplete. For decades, textbook narratives conveniently have left out the women who held the brushes, shaped the movement, and challenged the status quo right alongside Rivera and Siqueiros. Designed and led by a local art historian and independent researcher, this private journey takes you far from the commercial tourist tracks into the sacred spaces where Mexico’s female muralists made history. Together, we’ll decode their powerful artwork, dive into deep archival research, and uncover the fierce, untold stories of the women who redefined Mexican art. If you are looking to experience Mexico City’s art scene through an inclusive, authentic, and rigorous lens, this experience is crafted just for you.
