Ever wondered how coffee goes from green beans to the perfect morning latte? Join us for a 3-hour hands-on Coffee Roasting Class in Salt Lake City and experience the craft from the inside out.
Held every other Saturday from 5pm–8pm at 801 Coffee Roasters, this class walks you step-by-step through the journey from bean to brew in a small-group setting.
Hour 1: Live Roasting — Learn the fundamentals and participate in an interactive roast alongside the owner, who brings over 12 years of experience.
Hour 2: Guided Coffee Cupping — Taste beans side by side and learn to identify flavor notes, body and acidity.
Hour 3: Espresso 101 — Dial in espresso, steam milk properly and learn the basics of latte art.
Finale: Take home a 1 lb bag of the coffee you roasted.
Tickets are $300 per person, or reserve our Shared Roast Experience for $500—perfect for date night or gifting.

TICKET / ADMISSION / REGISTRATION
Your ticket includes a 3-hour hands-on coffee roasting experience, guided coffee cupping session, and Espresso 101 instruction. You’ll actively participate in roasting using professional equipment and take home a 1 lb bag of the coffee you roasted. Classes are limited to 10 participants to keep the experience personal and interactive. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early and note any special requests or accessibility needs at checkout.

801 Coffee Roasters is a small-batch coffee roastery in Salt Lake City built around craft and community. This isn’t a classroom—it’s the real roasting space where the magic happens. You’ll step inside the working roastery surrounded by green beans, professional equipment, and the aroma of coffee mid-roast. The setting is intimate and hands-on, designed for interaction rather than observation. With small class sizes and direct access to the roasting machine, you’ll experience coffee where it’s actually created. It’s true behind-the-scenes access to specialty coffee in Salt Lake City.

Quest for Peace Community Hike & Sound Ceremony - Horsetail Falls
Some afternoons are worth showing up for. Horsetail Falls is one of them. The trail winds through Dry Creek Canyon with forested slopes, flowing water, and the kind of mountain quiet that makes your brain finally chill out. At the falls, we’ll gather in circle for a live handpan sound journey beside the cascade. Golden light, canyon air, good humans, and space to slow down for a minute. No experience needed. No pressure to be anything other than yourself. This hike is about 4.5–5 miles round trip with significant elevation gain, but we’ll move at a community pace.
