From my first sip of coffee, I knew it would shape my life. Coffee shops were where I studied, met friends, and dreamed big. At 19, I started working in a local café and quickly fell in love with the craft of specialty coffee. On my 21st birthday, my mom suggested I start my own company—and within a week, 801 Coffee Roasters was born. With little money but relentless drive, I built our first coffee truck by hand and launched in Salt Lake City in 2017. What started as serving small local businesses grew into roasting for restaurants and shipping beans nationwide across the U.S. What makes us unique is our hands-on roasting, community focus, and commitment to bold, small-batch quality. I’m passionate about creating coffee experiences that bring people together, build culture, and elevate everyday moments through exceptional coffee.

801 Coffee Roasting Class – Salt Lake City
From Bean to Brew: A Hands-On Coffee Experience Ever wondered how coffee goes from green beans to the perfect morning latte? Join us for a 3-hour hands-on Coffee Roasting Class in Salt Lake City and experience the craft from the inside out. Held every other Saturday from 5pm–8pm at 801 Coffee Roasters, this class walks you step-by-step through the journey from bean to brew in a small-group setting. Hour 1: Live Roasting — Learn the fundamentals and participate in an interactive roast alongside the owner, who brings over 12 years of experience. Hour 2: Guided Coffee Cupping — Taste beans side by side and learn to identify flavor notes, body and acidity. Hour 3: Espresso 101 — Dial in espresso, steam milk properly and learn the basics of latte art. Finale: Take home a 1 lb bag of the coffee you roasted. Tickets are $300 per person, or reserve our Shared Roast Experience for $500—perfect for date night or gifting. Limited to 10 participants. Reserve your seat and roast with us. ☕
