🦋 I took the leap to start Riverbottom Butterflies to create unforgettable butterfly experiences. No one forgets the time they released butterflies. You might forget the Christmas gift that you got last year, the birthday gift you got a year ago, but a butterfly experience is engrained. From kids to adults, everybody's face lights up when they watch caterpillars grow into healthy butterflies. Riverbottom Butterflies provides live adult butterflies and caterpillar kits for at-home activities, birthday parties, memorial events, and more. Monarchs, Painted Ladies, and Cabbage Whites are currently available for purchase as caterpillars or as adults depending on your desired butterfly experience.

Monarch Butterfly Kit with Milkweed Plant
Help save the Monarch butterfly! By raising Monarch caterpillars, you can directly help these beautiful pollinators thrive. This premium kit comes with 2 guaranteed caterpillars and a milkweed plant. It takes about 10 days on average for the caterpillars to reach the chrysalis stage, and another 10-11 days for them to emerge as butterflies. You can plan on the whole process taking 2.5–3 weeks from start to finish.

Painted Lady Butterfly Kits
The perfect at-home or school activity to entertain and teach kids about natural lifecycles, metamorphosis, and change–all through an exciting kit that can entertain kids and adults from caterpillar to butterfly! Kits are usually available from late March to October.
