Salt Lake Capoeira
Capoeira began over 500 years ago when the Africans who were taken to Brazil and enslaved trained to fight while disguising it as a dance. Today, Mestre Jamaika teaches kids through adults of all levels, all aspects of Capoeira: strength, flexibility, movement, endurance, coordination, vocal and instrumental skills, cultural awareness, confidence, teamwork, and community. In this authentic Capoeira class, we seek to improve our physical and mental health as we work together to strengthen our community. We invite you to try a Capoeira class and see how your life can be transformed with Capoeira lessons and new friends.

Hi, I'm David. I am a professional online and in-person tour guide, professional speaker, owner of 'That Guide With Glasses LTD,' and volunteer community leader for Airbnb. My passion is to create memorable moments for remote corporate teams by providing them with high-class online experiences. I've spent the last 11 years interacting with corporate teams, families, and solo travelers from all around the world, both professionally and personally. I have entertained people from all backgrounds and cultures, learning what to say (and what not to say). I have lived in the beautiful city of Edinburgh for the past 11 years, initially providing historical tours for the public. Since then, I have expanded into offering private tours for corporate teams and families. During the COVID pandemic, I took my tours online as 'Online Experiences' and have worked with companies such as Google, Apple, Amazon, and Nike, to name a few. My goal is for teams to have a memorable experience that they can bond over, which builds trust and cohesion.
Magic in Edinburgh: A Harry Potter Tour
A must-see tour for every potterhead! Join me, David, as we see the beautiful Scottish city of Edinburgh through the eyes of J.K Rowling. From her poor beginnings to a billionaire author. First, we'll conduct our own Hogwarts House test for all the muggles. There will be a Harry Potter trivia competition between the houses, so everyone needs to be sorted! We'll start our tour of Edinburgh using moving images to keep the action fluid and accessible to people with all internet speeds. We'll show you the places where J.K. Rowling drew her inspiration, such as the school believed to be the inspiration for Hogwarts, the shops that found their way into Diagon Alley, the graveyard where she found her characters' names, and much more! Along the way, we'll share the inspiration behind some of the most loved characters and finish with a final quiz to see which Hogwarts house wins. "David was a great tour guide with lots of energy and enthusiasm for Edinburgh and it's history..." —Natalie
